We are one of the first organisations in Australia to become a Signatory, named Supporter, registered Stakeholder and a Member of the various international organisations that align with our Ethos.

Curagaia™ calls Palawa country home. We acknowledge the Palawa Peoples as the traditional custodians of the lutruwita (Tasmania) region and pay our respects to Palawa Elders past, present and future.

 

We also accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart to walk together with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples for a better future.

We are committed to a positive future with First Nations Peoples worldwide and support The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

Our core team developing business and investment models for our technical solutions are:

Rod Holden AUS - A serial founder with background in business, natural capital extractive industries & construction. He now has a passion for sustainability and environmental management. Rod was the catalyst for introducing the New Code for Environmental Management in Australia's resource industry in 2000. With core skills in creative problem solving he developed a world first in The Environmental Impact Nursery® model after 10 years of full-time research into the nexus of financial/ecological/behavioural economics, planetary systems and global sustainability. 

Jeff Peters USA - Over 20 years at two top 25 asset management companies, where he led global distribution and raised more than $100 billion for both. He also spent 10 years at a global business consulting firm. He serves on several environmental boards and led capital raises to acquire and conserve tropical rainforest habitat, to generate carbon, and for sustainable timber revenues. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Economics (Cum Laude) from Princeton University and a MBA from Harvard Business School. 

Dr. Stuart Martin AUS - Over 20 years’ experience in investment management. Stuart Co-Founded Open Resolve Funds Management (and was the Responsible Manager under the AFSL), a group established to develop agricultural investments with environmental dividends. Stuart holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Land Economics) and also holds a Master of Sustainability and a PhD in Natural Capital Accounting. 

Tom Powell Jersey - Over 20 years experience in commodities trading and alternative investments Tom has a strong focus on ESG related investments. He chairs the Jersey Funds Association subcommittee on ESG and is a member of the Jersey Sustainable Finance Steering Committee. Educated in France, Italy and the UK with BA (Hons) and Maîtrise (Masters) in European Business and International Commerce. 

David Kirby AUS - Almost 20 years as a portfolio manager, in both Australia and the United Kingdom, of the world’s largest provider of mutual funds and second largest provider of ETFs. David co-managed global and European equity portfolios in excess of US$80 billion and traded US$50m-$200m per day. He launched 14 commercially viable products that have grown to US$77 billion in value. David also spent almost 9 years as an EMEA Regional Advisory Committee Member for FTSE Russell.

Dr. Mark W. McElroy USA – over 20 years as creator and leading practitioner of Context-Based Sustainability (Accounting). He co-developed the MultiCapital Scorecard™, the world's first and only context-based (and open-source) triple bottom line, integrated measurement and reporting system. Mark is Board Chair Emeritus of the Donella Meadows Institute, a past special advisor on the UNRISD Sustainable Development Performance Indicators (SDPI) Project, and expert advisor to the World Resources Institute on its Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Mark holds a BA in philosophy and a PhD, Sustainability Management (Economics and Business).
